Eastland County is a region rich in history, wondrous beauty and small-town community spirit. The county is served by several independent school districts, including Eastland ISD and Cisco ISD, providing quality education to students from kindergarten through high school. Additionally, Cisco College and Ranger Junior College offer higher education opportunities.
Eastland County’s landscape is quite diverse and thus offers outdoor enthusiasts many options for enjoyment. Hunting properties are abundant in this mostly rural county. Water enthusiasts have much to enjoy as well. Both the Brazos River and Leon River traverse the county. Lake Leon is also a popular destination for swimming, boating, fishing and camping.
The county is steeped in history and offers many fairs, festivals and community events throughout the year. Although it did not carry the Hilton name, Cisco is the home of Conrad Hilton’s first hotel. Overall, Eastland County is a welcoming, scenic area abundant in beauty and charm.
